Winning this award underscores their hard work and the positive impact they have on our entire organization,\u201d said Beth Green, SPHR, PCC, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Cooper.<\/p>\n<p>Serving Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties, Tri-State HRMA is a human resource management association with more than 300 members in the region, providing networking opportunities, continuing education, and sharing of best practices. Now in its 25th year, the HR Department of the Year Awards recognizes the impact that human resources professionals deliver to their organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper\u2019s Human Resources department was honored as the esteemed Regional Large Company HR Department of the Year. Over the past two transformative years, the department has demonstrated leadership and innovation through key initiatives, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advancing technological innovation and operational excellence while maintaining a people-first strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Revamping recruitment efforts to thrive in a highly competitive talent market.<\/li>\n<li>Enhancing team member engagement and retention, with a focus on well-being initiatives, workplace safety programs, and clinical staffing resources.<\/li>\n<li>Driving workforce development, building critical pipelines through partnerships with schools and colleges.<\/li>\n<li>Launching the first Team Resource Groups (TRGs)\u2014Latino, LGBTQ+, Black, and Multicultural\u2014to advance Cooper\u2019s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These efforts underscore Cooper\u2019s dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and innovative workplace.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper achieved this recognition through participation in a rigorous application process. Finalists participated in a comprehensive interview process, where judges assessed the impact of the work of HR as it aligns with the organization\u2019s strategic focus. There were 27 finalists in the running for this recognition. The highly regarded Department of the Year recognition places a spotlight on HR departments\u2019 demonstration of excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper is committed to creating an outstanding work environment\u00a0by providing competitive compensation, a comprehensive employee benefits program, and the chance to build a career with a leading academic health system. In August, for the fourth consecutive year,\u00a0Cooper University Health Care was named one of America\u2019s Best-in-State Employers by Forbes, the prominent national business publication.
