Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) was once again named a 2025 Best Medical Schools for Primary Care and for Research by U.S. News & World Report.<\/p>\n

This honor reaffirms our steadfast commitment to academic excellence, groundbreaking research and meaningful community engagement. I am especially pleased to share that CMSRU has earned a Tier 2 rating in Primary Care<\/strong> and a Tier 3 rating in Research<\/strong>. Our Tier 2 designation in Primary Care places us among the top medical schools in the nation \u2013 and the highest ranking in New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area \u2013 highlighting the strength of our curriculum, faculty, and student body.<\/p>\n

This recognition is particularly significant at a time when our nation continues to grapple with a shortage of primary care physicians. Our high ranking underscores the important role CMSRU plays in preparing compassionate, skilled physicians who are ready to address this critical health care need.<\/p>\n

As you may know, U.S. News adopted a new tiered system for its medical school rankings beginning in 2024. Only institutions ranked in Tiers 1 and 2 are eligible to display the \u201cBest Medical School\u201d award badges\u2014making this achievement even more meaningful.<\/p>\n
