On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, the Fall 2023 Nurse Residency cohort held their graduation. Forty-two registered nurses successfully completed the two-year program. Kathy Devine, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive, extended her greetings and congratulations to the graduates before nursing leaders distributed certificates of completion. The graduates fill nursing positions throughout Cooper University Hospital in Camden.<\/p>\n

Cooper\u2019s Nurse Residency Program supports new-to-practice registered nurses during their first two years of clinical practice. It helps them build resilience, encourages curiosity, and empowers them to be strong patient advocates. The program also integrates a multitude of learning methods and venues including in-person classes, simulation labs and scenarios, hands-on skills, computer-based learning, and self-study.<\/p>\n

Before the graduation ceremony, the cohort presented their Evidence-Based Practice Project presentations in the Cooper Conference Center in Camden. Our dedicated nurses showcased their significant evidence-based projects, reflecting two years of hard work and commitment. This event highlighted their dedication to advancing health care practices through rigorous research.
