{"id":23838,"date":"2025-06-03T16:25:12","date_gmt":"2025-06-03T20:25:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/?p=23838"},"modified":"2025-06-03T16:34:44","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T20:34:44","slug":"annual-tuberculin-screening-and-respirator-fit-testing-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/2025\/06\/annual-tuberculin-screening-and-respirator-fit-testing-2\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDATED SCHEDULE: Annual TB and Fit Testing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The annual tuberculin screening (aka TST\/PPD) and respirator fit testing has begun for all team members at Cooper\u00a0<strong>except<\/strong>\u00a0those working at Cooper Cape locations.<strong>\u00a0Team members working at Cooper Cape locations will receive a separate email and have a separate schedule.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To view the updated 2025 clinic schedule, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/files\/2025\/06\/2025-FIT-and-TB-Screening-Schedule_UPDATEDv3.pdf\"><strong>click here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires annual PPD\/TST skin tests and respirator fit testing for specific team members based on their occupational risk, as determined by Infection Prevention. Those who need testing will be notified via email.<\/p>\n<p>Fit testing takes time to complete to ensure that a respirator properly seals to a team member\u2019s face. It\u2019s a two-step process that includes a sensitivity test followed by a fit check. Please plan accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>Before attending, team members and leaders should log into iCooper to review their assigned screening and testing for 2025. Employee Health nurses will be on-site to confirm your required screening, testing, or risk assessment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All Cooper team members are required to complete the tuberculin risk assessment questionnaire.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cooper team members and managers can view the status of their health information in iCooper. For team member instructions,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/request.cooperhealth.org\/apps\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/iCooper-Emp-Health-Team-Members_FINAL-3-19-24.pdf\"><strong>click here<\/strong><\/a>.
