To prevent misdials to 911 and avoid associated fines, the outside line \u2018prefix\u2019 for external calls is changing from \u20189\u2019<\/strong> to \u20188\u2019<\/strong>. Once implemented, team members must press \u20188\u2019<\/strong> to reach an outside line. This change, slated to begin August 9, 2025, affects all patients and team members at all Cooper<\/strong> locations using desk or wall phones, remote users, and those using Jabber<\/strong> on a Cooper-provided or personal device.<\/p>\n

Additionally, systems such as RightFax, UCCE,<\/strong> fax machines, and other servers that currently use the prefix \u20189\u2019<\/strong> for outbound calls will also be affected.
