{"id":24377,"date":"2025-06-10T16:09:37","date_gmt":"2025-06-10T20:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/?p=24377"},"modified":"2025-06-10T17:10:08","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T21:10:08","slug":"foreign-travel-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/2025\/06\/foreign-travel-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreign Travel Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On June 4, 2025, the White House announced a travel ban prohibiting individuals from certain countries traveling into the United States, which took effect on June 9, 2025.\u00a0Therefore, if you are planning to travel outside of the United States, please be aware of these restrictions which could impact your return.<\/p>\n<p>The following countries face a complete travel ban:\u00a0Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.\u00a0This restriction applies to immigrant and nonimmigrant nationals of the respective countries.<\/p>\n<p>The following countries face a partial travel ban: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Turkmenistan. This partial restriction applies to immigrant \u2013 and nonimmigrant on B-1, B-2, B-1\/B-2, F, M, and J visas \u2013 nationals of the respective counties.<\/p>\n<p>As to foreign nationals in any of the above designated countries, the ban applies to those who do not have a valid visa and are outside of the United States.<\/p>\n<p>There are also exceptions that apply to all countries.
