\"direct<\/a>Direct Meds is a new full-service pharmacy that will open on Monday, October 26, 2015, <\/strong>in the Roberts Pavilion. Direct Meds offers prompt prescription service and free delivery service directly to the patient\u2019s home, and will also be available for patients seen in the emergency department, visitors and Cooper employees. For patients living beyond our delivery area, the service offers free UPS delivery for medications.<\/p>\n

The Direct Meds Cooper pharmacy will be staffed by two full-time and two part-time pharmacists and two technicians.<\/p>\n

Direct Meds will service discharged patient prescriptions quickly and easily. Doctors or hospital staff will forward prescriptions directly from the patient care unit to the pharmacy. Often, prescriptions can be quickly filled and ready for pick-up at the time of the patient\u2019s discharge. If medications are not ready, they will be delivered directly to the patient\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

Licensed pharmacists are always available to answer questions regarding medications through a 24-hour, toll-free hotline. Our pharmacists also review each prescription for potential drug interactions, contacting the physician directly if questions arise. Direct Meds also offers a prescription refill reminder service where patients are contacted prior to the refill date.<\/p>\n

For medications not covered by insurance, Direct Meds accepts checks or major credit cards. They are able to sell pharmaceuticals at competitive market prices, and offer discounts to senior citizens and self-pay patients.<\/p>\n

Direct Meds adheres to industry safety and quality controls for each prescription filled. They accept all third party insurances, and handle all paperwork for their clients.<\/p>\n
