This week, in honor of Health Care Risk Management Week, we are highlighting the critical role that risk managers play across the health care enterprise. Health care risk professionals come from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds and are engaged in many aspects of health care, including event and incident management, clinical aspects, patient safety, patient care practices, quality assurance, safe work environments, insurance aspects, and the prevention of liability issues.<\/p>\n
The recognition was stablished in 1980 by the American Society for Health Care Risk Management. This year\u2019s theme, \u201cStable, Strategic Solutions,\u201d emphasizes the crucial role of risk management professionals in protecting health care organizations.<\/p>\n

By partnering with our Risk Management professionals, we are able to make a positive impact on the delivery of health care and the safety of our patients,\u201d said Eileen Craig, Cooper\u2019s Director of Risk Management and Insurance.<\/p>\n
