What is the Epic Enterprise project?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Epic Enterprise project will transition the current IT systems for patient scheduling, billing, and radiology into Epic, bringing most patient information into one system. For the past 15 months, 55 analysts and more than 200 subject matter experts have been working to design, build, and test the new Epic applications.<\/p>\n

What is an Epic Super User?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Super Users are tech-savvy Cooper employees who will receive advanced training. The Super Users will play a key role throughout the organization in supporting employees during the transition and after the go-live. They will also serve as liaisons between IT and operations to assist with questions and issues related to the transition.<\/p>\n

Spotlight on an Epic system: Grand Central<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grand Central is Epic\u2019s patient registration and patient tracking system. Users of Grand Central are able to manage a patient\u2019s stay from pre-admission through discharge, including bed planning, housekeeping, and patient transport. Transport and housekeeping departments will move from the Crothall system to Epic. Users of the new Epic system will be able to request transport directly from the ED Trackboard, Unit Manager, and Appointment reports.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
