Cooper toxicology experts and clinical pharmacy specialists are hosting an important continuing education event: Provide to Prevent: Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Education in collaboration with Camden County Board of Freeholders Addiction Awareness Taskforce and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. The program is presented in response to the global opioid epidemic and the growing role of the pharmacist in prevention and education. Pharmacists have been called by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy to promote and expand access to the opioid overdose reversal medication naloxone. Pharmacists can reduce the negative effects that opioid overdose has on society, health systems, and the pharmacy profession. This CE program will provide pharmacists with the required knowledge for managing opioid overdose and increase the availability of naloxone in the community.<\/p>\n

Target Audience: Pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and other health care professionals who wish to expand and update their knowledge regarding naloxone dispensing and the growing opioid epidemic.<\/p>\n
