The attackers are becoming more sophisticated and are changing their methods in further attempts to fool our employees. <strong>To protect our patients, everyone must take the following steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Do not open<\/strong> emails from anyone you do not know.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Do not click<\/strong> on attachments or links within an email from anyone you do not know.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Do not follow<\/strong> instructions in an email to fix something, change your password, etc.<\/li>\n<li>If the contents of an email look suspicious, it is. Immediately delete the email.<\/li>\n<li>If you have opened an attachment or clicked on a link, <strong>immediately<\/strong> contact the Help Desk at 856.968.7166. We need to take steps to prevent further spread of the virus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also recommend all employees view the video: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZxB-k7yaUiU#t=14\"><em>Avoid Being a Victim of Ransomware<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To protect our patients, everyone must be diligent. A virus or ransomware entering our health system can render our IT systems unavailable and have a severe negative impact on our ability to treat patients.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cooper continues to receive emails containing ransomware.
