At Cooper, our physical therapists work in a variety of teams with each team\u00a0providing treatment focused on a specialty population. Throughout the month of October \u2013 Physical Therapy month — we\u2019ll be highlighting different team members so you can get to know them and understand their role.<\/p>\n

\nAl Guarini, PT, DPT, MTC
\n<\/strong>Physical Therapist <\/strong><\/p>\n

Al joined the Cooper Bone and Joint team in 2013. He graduated from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2004 and then completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2007. In 2011, Al became a certified manual therapist from the University of St. Augustine.<\/p>\n

Since 2004, Al has been practicing physical therapy in the outpatient setting treating general orthopaedic- and sports-medicine conditions. Over the past several years, Al began treating individuals with vestibular impairments (vertigo and balance dysfunction) and post-concussion syndrome. Early this year, Al became certified in vestibular rehabilitation through the American Institute of Balance and a certified\/preferred provider in Graston Technique.<\/p>\n

Al is also an adjunct instructor for the University of the Sciences where he provides annual lectures on topics such as concussion management and advanced manual therapy techniques. He is also a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association which allows him to provide mentorship to physical therapy students.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Physical Therapy Assistant<\/strong><\/p>\n

Christine is a very experienced physical therapy assistant who has more than 18 years of clinical experience in orthopaedic- and sports-medicine rehabilitation. She has been part of our Cooper physical therapy family since 2013.<\/p>\n

Christine attended Neumann University prior to graduating from the Physical Therapy Assistant program from Hahnemann University in 1998 and has attended many educational seminars annually to stay current on the most updated evidence-based treatments so that her patients achieve optimal outcomes with physical therapy.<\/p>\n

While her emphasis has always been in orthopaedic rehabilitation, she has recently devoted time in developing her clinical skills to assist individuals in managing the effects of vestibular dysfunction and post-concussion syndrome.<\/p>\n

Christine is also trained in Graston Technique and is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Christine is committed to the field of physical therapy and is very compassionate toward others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
