The number of phishing emails our employees are receiving is increasing.<\/p>\n<p>Please be vigilant and <strong>do not<\/strong> open suspicious emails when you do not recognize the sender, and <strong>do not<\/strong> open attachments or click on any links within those emails.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When you have a doubt about an email, please contact the Help Desk at\u00a0x7166 for guidance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The latest message we have seen is :<\/p>\n<p><strong>From:<\/strong> Hurley, Raye NBCT [mailto:raye.hurley@franklin.kyschools.us]<br \/>\n<strong>Sent:<\/strong> Tuesday, October 11, 2016 10:58 AM<br \/>\n<strong>To:<\/strong> in@msn.com<br \/>\n<strong>Subject:<\/strong> [BULK] FW: Help Desk<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Your MICROSOFT OUTLOOK mail box has exceeded its Quota limit\u00a0CLICK HERE\u00a0to sign in\u00a0for upgrade and advance mailbox futures OR you will be deactivated permanently in the next 7 hours .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please do not ever respond to such messages.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Phishing<\/strong> emails are fraudulent electronic communications designed to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money), often for malicious reasons. Cybercriminals also use these emails to install malicious software on your computer, which can damage your computer, steal personal information, or get into Cooper\u2019s network.
