\"\"Each of the 12 highly visible Code Blue Emergency Call Stations are red with a blue light on top that is lit 24\/7, and provide direct and immediate communication to Security Central on a dedicated phone line. There is constant two-way communication with Security Central until help arrives.<\/p>\n

Stations are activated by pressing the \u201cRed\u201d button alongside the wording \u201cPUSH FOR HELP.\u201d Once activated, a highly visible blue beacon strobe light flashes. This is intended to draw attention, while scaring off potential perpetrators. Upon activation, the three sheriff\u2019s officers patrolling the Cooper University Hospital campus 24\/7\/365 are immediately dispatched to the location.<\/p>\n

Code Blue Emergency Call Stations:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Are strategically located throughout the campus to limit vulnerabilities.<\/li>\n
  2. Serve as a deterrent to crime.<\/li>\n
  3. Are easily located, standing 9\u2019 high with a blue light lit 24\/7.<\/li>\n
  4. Are made of 1\/4 steel, making them durable and reliable.<\/li>\n
  5. Enhance the overall safety of visitors, students, and employees while on the campus of Cooper University Hospital.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Code Blue Emergency Call Stations are tested by the Security Department\u00a0two times a week\u00a0to ensure operability.<\/p>\n

    Placards will be placed on the faceplate of the stations identifying each location by a specific name.<\/p>\n
