National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week is April 23 – 29, 2017<\/strong>. It is a special time to honor and recognize the contributions of Medical Laboratory staff as part of the Patient Care Team.<\/p>\n

Cooper\u2019s laboratory team comprises 19 pathologists, a PhD cytogeneticist, and 163 dedicated staff members serving as technologists, technicians, administrators, supervisors, phlebotomists, pathology assistants, transcriptionists, administrative coordinators, and laboratory assistants. Since lab professionals often work behind the scenes, few people know that the critical testing we perform every day saves lives, reduces morbidity, and helps control the cost of care.\u00a0Together, Medical Laboratory team members play a vital role in patient care by providing timely and accurate test results. Our commitment to high standards of quality benefits patients as well as our colleagues on the patient care team.<\/p>\n
