The OR team held a \u201cMake a Blanket Day\u201d to benefit young patients. On Saturday, March 10, 2018, a dozen members of Cooper\u2019s Operating Room team gathered for a unique service project to benefit young patients at the hospital. Equipped with 60 yards of fleece fabric, the team took part in a \u201cMake a Blanket Day.\u201d The team spent more than three hours working together to create 20 handmade novelty print blankets. The blankets were delivered to Child Life services to distribute to pediatric patients (toddlers to teens) to provide comfort during their hospital stays.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had so much fun working together on this project. We had joy on our faces knowing it would provide an additional level of comfort to some young patient,\u201d said Carolyn Decina BSN, RN, Operating Room nurse, who helped coordinate the blanket-making event.<\/p>\n

Hats off to those who participated for going over and above to enhance the Cooper experience!<\/p>\n
