Representatives from Children\u2019s Regional Hospital at Cooper visited St. Anthony of Padua School in Camden on Thursday, April 12, 2018, to accept several dozen handmade \u201cheart hug\u201d pillows crafted by sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students as part of a community outreach project. The pillows will be given to hospitalized children at Cooper.<\/p>\n
The \u201cHeart Hug\u201d pillow project was initiated by Linda Burns, an art teacher at St. Anthony of Padua School, as a way for students and their families to engage in community service. All of the materials are donated and students, along with their families, are enlisted to help create each unique heart pillow. For the past four years the school has donated their creations to be distributed to young patients at Children\u2019s Regional Hospital at Cooper as a way to give back to children in their own community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
