To ensure Cooper University Health Care is able to provide vital health care services during an extended power outage, construction has begun on a state approved and funded power plant along Benson Street on our campus. The new power plant will also provide substantial long-term benefits to Cooper by allowing us to generate power more efficiently and reduce our energy costs.<\/p>\n

We apologize for this short-term inconvenience. \u00a0We understand it will be challenging for both patients and staff entering and leaving at the Kelemen circle for a few weeks. We have made every effort to ensure that the below plan is the least disruptive way to perform this essential portion of the installation of our new power plant.<\/p>\n

As part of the construction, work needs to be done at the Kelemen Building Circle. This work began today, June 12, 2018, and continue through Friday, June 22, 2018<\/strong>. As a result, the Kelemen Circle will be closed<\/u><\/strong> to all vehicle traffic Monday through Friday, beginning Tuesday, June 12,<\/strong> from 6:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/strong>, except for Emergency Department patients and Cooper Shuttles.<\/p>\n

Vehicles will not be allowed to use Kelemen circle to drop off employees for work during those times of day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Additionally, from Tuesday, June 12, 2018, through Friday, June 22, 2018,<\/strong> the following traffic pattern changes (see diagrams below) will be in effect Monday through Friday, from 6:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:<\/p>\n
