This expansion will allow the ED staff to triage and separate patients who are not as severely ill or injured and move them through the unit more quickly.<\/p>\n<p>The new building will free up the Mickle space in Kelemen currently used by the ED. The Critical Decision Unit (CDU) will move down to the Mickle space on <strong>Monday, July 16, 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your cooperation as we improve the Cooper Experience for our patients and employees and continue to strive to make Cooper the best place to be a patient, the best place to be an employee, and the best place to practice medicine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please be advised that the new Emergency Department (ED) building will open on Monday, July 9, 2018.
