{"id":7838,"date":"2018-08-21T16:39:50","date_gmt":"2018-08-21T20:39:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/?p=7838"},"modified":"2018-08-21T16:39:50","modified_gmt":"2018-08-21T20:39:50","slug":"cooper-to-host-buprenorphine-trainings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/2018\/08\/cooper-to-host-buprenorphine-trainings\/","title":{"rendered":"Cooper to Host Buprenorphine Trainings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Addiction Medicine Program of the Department of Psychiatry is holding case-based learning sessions for those interested in learning more about buprenorphine (brand names: Suboxone, Subutex, Zubsolv, Probuphine, and Sublockade), how and why it is used, and how it is prescribed.<\/p>\n<p>Providers may complete the online training portion and receive their X-Waiver to prescribe buprenorphine, or they may do so after the classroom course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, October 1, 2018<br \/>\n<\/strong>1 p.m. to 5 p.m.<br \/>\nCMSRU, Multi-Purpose Lab (MPL), 4<sup>th<\/sup> floor<br \/>\n401 Broadway<br \/>\nCamden<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, October 15, 2018<br \/>\n<\/strong>5 p.m. to 9 p.m.<br \/>\nCMSRU, Multi-Purpose Room (MPR)<br \/>\n401 Broadway<br \/>\nCamden<\/p>\n<p>This course is open to medical students, residents, fellows, attending physicians, physician assistants, and advanced practitioners.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to attend <strong>one<\/strong> of these trainings, please RSVP to Demi Padilla at <a href=\"mailto:padilla-demi@cooperhealth.edu\">padilla-demi@cooperhealth.edu<\/a> and include the following information:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your name, department, and background (physician, APP, GME, CMSRU)<\/li>\n<li>Date of training course you would like to attend (either October 1, 2018, or October 15, 2018)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thank you for being part of addressing this need in the face of the opioid epidemic.<\/p>\n<p>The Cooper Health System is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Cooper Health System takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this continuing medical education (CME) activity.<\/p>\n<p>The Cooper Health System designates this live activity for a maximum of<strong> 1.5 <em>AMA PRA Category 1 Credits<sup>TM<\/sup> <\/em>per session. <\/strong>Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.<\/p>\n<p>Successful completion of one hour of a CME course recognized by the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, or the American Podiatric Medical Association is equal to one hour of continuing education for New Jersey nursing license renewal (New Jersey Board of Nursing 13:37-5.3).<\/p>\n<p>All faculty participating in CME activities sponsored by The Cooper Health System are expected to disclose to the audience any real or apparent conflict of interest related to the content of their presentation.
