As a result of its age and heavy traffic, the helipad needs to be replaced. Construction to replace Cooper\u2019s helipad is underway and will last through <strong>mid-December 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During construction, the helipad will be closed to helicopter flight traffic. Helicopters will use our secondary landing pad on the Campbell Soup campus and will be met by Cooper-staffed ambulances for the short transfer to the hospital.\u00a0This diversion should <strong>not<\/strong> impact the Transfer Center or our trauma, critical care, or emergency services.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of this construction work on the helipad, there may be some temporary street closures and traffic diversions around the Cooper campus.
