To strengthen our position as the academic health system of choice in the region, we must be concerned about every aspect of our patients\u2019 experience at Cooper, right down to the linen on the beds. To that end, we are pleased to announce that Cooper has hired a new laundry service, Up To Date Laundry<\/strong>, to provide linen to our facilities.<\/p>\n

One component of our new strategic plan is dedicated to operational excellence and fixing a number of ongoing foundational operations challenges. Based upon feedback from Cooper employees regarding issues with our previous linen service, we moved quickly to review the situation and determine the best solution.<\/p>\n

Up To Date Laundry is a major provider of linen services and processes more than 62 million pounds of healthcare laundry a year. The company is certified by the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council. They currently service 17 other health systems, including the University of Maryland Health System, Med Star Health, Einstein Health System, and Johns Hopkins. Cooper\u2019s linen will be processed by a new plant Up To Date Laundry opened in January.<\/p>\n

We believe this change will be a significant improvement that will benefit our patients and staff.
