Members of Cooper\u2019s multidisciplinary Donor Council work with the NJ Sharing Network to ensure best practices during the organ donation process. Cooper\u2019s referral rate is 97.6 percent with eight missed opportunities for donation in 2018; our 2019 goal is 99 percent.<\/p>\n<p>To continue to raise awareness of Cooper\u2019s work with the NJ Sharing Network and the importance of organ donation, several activities are planned:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>#SaveNJLives coffee sleeves will be available at Cooper.<\/li>\n<li>Green and Blue Daywill be celebrated at Cooper on April 12, 2019. Employees are encouraged to wear blue and green, the official recognition colors of National Donate Life Month, where appropriate. An information table will also be set up at Cooper University Hospital\u2019s Cooper Court Cafeteria in the Kelemen Pavilion on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thank you to the members of the Donor Council and to the many Cooper staff who help make organ donation a possibility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>April is National Donate Life Month and Cooper is helping to honor those who have selflessly donated their tissue and organs to help another.
