{"id":9649,"date":"2019-05-07T16:50:37","date_gmt":"2019-05-07T20:50:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/?p=9649"},"modified":"2019-05-07T16:51:50","modified_gmt":"2019-05-07T20:51:50","slug":"back-by-popular-demand-biometric-screenings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/2019\/05\/back-by-popular-demand-biometric-screenings\/","title":{"rendered":"Back by Popular Demand: Biometric Screenings!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this fast-paced world, it can be easy to lose sight of your own well-being, even when you work in health care.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper is again offering free biometric screenings, as part of our <strong>Thrive 365<\/strong> program,\u00a0to all employees enrolled in a Cooper health plan with AmeriHealth.<\/p>\n<p>Biometric screenings provide reliable information about your risk for chronic preventable conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and obesity.<\/p>\n<p>As an added convenience and time-saver, employees who plan to participate in the 2019 Cooper Annual Wellness Incentive can receive a biometric screening instead of an annual physical.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for the Annual Wellness Incentive, employees must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be enrolled in the Cooper PPO, Basic, Core, or Standard Plan.<\/li>\n<li>Complete an annual physical or biometric screening.<\/li>\n<li>Attest to being a non-tobacco user during Open Enrollment.<\/li>\n<li>Complete a Personal Health Assessment by clicking <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cooper.uswellness.com\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What to expect at the screenings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For optimal results you must fast eight hours prior to screening.<\/li>\n<li>Screenings take approximately 10 to 12 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>During these screenings your height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, glucose, HDL, LDL, TC\/HDL ratio, cholesterol, and triglycerides will be assessed.<\/li>\n<li>The screenings are administered by licensed RNs and LPNs from US Wellness.<\/li>\n<li>Screening results are confidential. You will receive a copy of your results for your records and to share with your provider. Results are also accessible to your Cooper provider through Epic if you choose.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Biometric screenings for 2019 are available on the following dates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>May 7 through May 9 <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CCBO \u2013 Truman Room, 1 Federal Street, Camden<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>May 10 and May 17 <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cooper Clock Tower \u2013 931 Centennial Boulevard, Voorhees<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>May 16 through May 29<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cooper University Hospital \u2013 Administration Conference Room, Kelemen Pavilion, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Floor<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A summer\/fall schedule will be announced in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>To schedule an appointment, please<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/cooper.uswellness.com\/\">click here<\/a><\/strong>.
