The Cooper Center for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery has undergone some exciting changes in 2019. We have expanded our services to three additional locations. The new locations include all bariatric services \u2013 new patient consultations, dietitian visits, and follow-up and postoperative visits with surgeons and advanced practice providers to improve patient access to care and surgery.<\/p>\n
In addition to Drs. Rohit Patel and Brendan O\u2019Connell, our team recently welcomed bariatric surgeon Harish Kakkilaya, MD. He is board certified in general surgery and fellowship trained in bariatric surgery. Dr. Kakkilaya\u2019s special clinical interests include minimally invasive weight-loss surgery, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB), and vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG).<\/p>\n
Cooper\u2019s program is one of the strongest in the region. Our expert surgeons have performed thousands of weight-loss surgeries, demonstrating the depth of our expertise. Our program offers patients many benefits including a thorough consultation and evaluation process, multidisciplinary approach to care, careful consideration of individualized goals, ongoing follow-up, and close coordination with referring physicians.<\/p>\n
