On Sunday and Monday, over 100 Cooper employees and local volunteers will be trading in their work uniforms for aprons and chef hats as they prepare for our annual Clare’s Cupboard bake sale.
Since its creation two years ago, Clare’s Cupboard has raised more than $50,000 dollars used towards the purchase of basic baby supplies for struggling new mothers and infants in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Cooper cares for over 450 NICU patients a year and we have already helped nearly 100 families leave our hospital with new baby clothes, bottles, wipes, toys, diapers and other essentials.
Our program has become such a success that we are expanding our donations for infants in our Emergency Department and Pediatric Clinic. With the help of our volunteers including Cooper employees, social workers, parents of NICU graduates and generous community members, we plan to make thousands of different yummy treats at Philly Kitchen Share, 1514 South Street, Philadelphia, PA!
The baked goods will then be sold as part of our 2010 bake sale at Cooper University Hospital on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 from 11 am – 2:30 pm outside the cafeteria and from 12 pm – 2 pm on the 2nd floor of Three Executive Campus in Cherry Hill, outside the hospital’s central billing office.
Come out and support a great cause with some tasty treats!
