One of our physicians volunteers walking dogs at Homeward Bound (formerly Camden County Animal Shelter). It is an open intake shelter and many of the strays brought there are from Camden.
Currently the shelter is over capacity: the 120 kennels are occupied, and 18 dogs are living in crates due to lack of space.
The shelter staff is spreading the word on social media that adopters and fosters are urgently needed. If you know anyone who can help out, foster, or adopt (dogs and cats!), please have them reach out to josey@homewardbound.org.
