Cooper University Hospital conducted a nation-wide search and has appointed Robin L. Perry, M.D., as Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Perry is board certified in Maternal & Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is currently President of the Cooper Medical Staff.
“Dr. Perry’s proven leadership ability will allow the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooper to continue to grow under her guidance,” said John P. Sheridan, Jr., President and CEO at Cooper. “We have been expanding our practices in the suburban communities and will continue to focus on increasing the obstetrics program in South Jersey.”
Dr. Perry is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Camden. She has consistently been selected as a Top Doctor in Maternal Fetal Medicine by regional magazines in South Jersey and Philadelphia.
“Cooper has a team of skilled obstetricians and gynecologists caring for high risk pregnancies, but many patients come here for the quality of care we give to the normal pregnancy as well,” said Dr. Perry. “The ability to care for both is the hallmark of our program, and I look forward to growing the services even further.”
Dr. Perry received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry from Rutgers College/Rutgers University and her Medical Degree from UMDNJ/Rutgers Medical School. She served her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UMDNJ/RWJ Medical School at Camden, followed by a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa.

Dr. Perry replaces Ronald M. Jaffe, M.D., who served with distinction in the position at Cooper for 25 years. Dr. Jaffe will continue as a member of the Cooper Medical Staff.
