(Camden, New Jersey) Cooper University Hospital recently opened its new multi-specialty, state-of-the-art Neurological Institute located in Camden. The Cooper Neurological Institute (CNI) will provide patients a variety of neurological and neurosurgical expertise in one beautifully designed office that provides ease of access and surpasses patient’s expectations for care. Every detail of the facility and program has been developed with the patient and visitor experience in mind.
CNI is the only facility of its kind in the region offering all neurological specialties in one location.
A full roster of medical specialties and support services are available at the CNI at varying days and times so that patients can be seen by several specialists at one time, while also obtaining support and complementary services. These interdisciplinary teams include, but are not limited to; Anesthesiology, Neurology, Radiation Oncology, Neuro Oncology, Orthopaedics, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
The CNI offers numerous programs including brain tumor, epilepsy, fall prevention, spine, headache, and stroke as well as Pediatric Neurologic programs. In addition to our extensive team of professionals, they offer a full complement of support services which allows us to provide complete care for our patients. The following services are available with conventional medical treatments:
- Nutrition counseling
- Genetic testing and counseling
- Social work services
- Complementary medicine therapies
- Behavioral health support
“This institute is unique because each patient is receiving hands-on care from several physicians who specialize in an array of medical fields,” said H. Warren Goldman, M.D., Ph.D., Director, CNI; and Chief of the Department of Neurosurgery at Cooper. “No other Neurological program in the region offers this unique patient-family centered approach to clinical care.”
The CNI is the latest expansion to the health sciences campus in Camden. Last month Cooper opened the $220 Million patient Pavilion, part of more than a half billion dollar vision for the campus.
