As part of their training, first-year medical students at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University are taking part in a “Week on the Wards” course directed by Meena Khandelwal, MD, FACOG, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at CMSRU and Director of Grand Rounds Ob/GYN at Cooper.
For two weeks beginning October 9, the students are rotating throughout different units at Cooper University Hospital to observe hospital operations first-hand. Following this clinical immersion, the students are receiving Lean Six Sigma training, an important skill in quality and process improvement efforts.
