Cancer Screen Week: Cancer Screenings Save Lives

According to the American Cancer Society, screening increases the chances of detecting certain cancers early, when they are most likely to be treated successfully. In the last year, approximately 600,000 people were expected to die from cancer, yet many of those lives could have been saved through earlier detection.

We want to make sure you stay on top of your health and know what screening tests are right for you and your loved ones. From December 4 through December 8, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper will be taking part in Cancer Screen Week, a nationwide public health initiative to increase awareness around the benefits of early cancer detection.

During Cancer Screen Week, we encourage you to schedule your cancer screening or talk to your doctor about what screening tests may be right for you.
