The Children’s Regional Hospital and the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department extended a warm, colorful thank you to all Cooper employees who donated new, used, and broken crayons earlier this month. Through The Crayon Initiative, the used and broken crayons Cooper and our community collected will be upcycled into new crayons and distributed to art programs at children’s hospital across the U.S, brightening the lives of young patients during their stay.  These programs provide young patients with a creative outlet to express themselves, while at the same time helping to alleviate anxiety.   They also enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills, while promoting creativity and imagination.

The group is forever grateful for the amazing Cooper team who dropped off crayons donations, ensuring the success of the first crayon donation event at Cooper highlighting Art Therapy Awareness. Way to go!
