Recognizing Health Care’s Risk Management Professionals

In honor of Health Care Risk Management Week, from June 21 through June 25, 2021, Cooper University Health Care recognizes the critical role that our health care risk management professionals play in patient safety, patient care practices, quality assurance, safe work environments, and the prevention of liability issues.

Established in 1980 by the American Society for Health Care Risk Management, this week of recognition promotes solutions to help prevent some of the most common patient safety events. This year’s theme – Prepared for the Present, Planning for the Future – celebrates the hard work and dedication of health care risk management professionals over the last year while laying the foundation for what is to come.

“We are extremely proud of how our entire staff works every day, along with our risk management professionals, to ensure our number one priority of patient safety,” says Eileen Craig, Director of Risk Management and Insurance. “We recognize the important role each employee plays in promoting safe and trusted health care.”

As we celebrate this special week, we applaud everyone’s efforts in promoting a safe environment for our patients and employees.

The Cooper Risk Management Team includes:

  • Eileen Craig, MSN, RN, CPHRM, Director
  • Elizabeth Elisii, Senior Risk Management and Insurance Associate
  • John Mason, Risk Management Analyst
  • Jeannee Birch, BSN, RN, Clinical Risk Manager
