Cooper University Health Care Now Offering COVID-19 Vaccines for Children Ages 5 to 11 at Several Pediatric Offices and Community Sites

Cooper University Health Care is now scheduling COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 5 to 11 at four Cooper Pediatric offices, The Kroc Center in Camden, and at the Camden County Health Hub at Camden County College in Blackwood.  The announcement was made after the recommendation from the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention on Tuesday, November 2, that children five years of age and older receive an age-appropriate dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

“The CDC and the New Jersey Department of Health are recommending the Pfizer vaccine for younger children, which clinical trials have shown to be effective to prevent severe infection, and we are happy to be able to provide the vaccine to protect families and, hopefully, bring this pandemic to an end,” said Anthony J. Mazzarelli, MD, JD, MBE, co-CEO of Cooper.

Beginning today, Thursday, November 4, Cooper appointments for current pediatric patients may be scheduled at the following offices by calling the office or using MyCooper. Please note: these locations are not able to vaccinate walk-in patients.

  • Cooper Pediatric Care at Sewell
  • Cooper Primary and Specialty Care at Moorestown

Additionally, Cooper in partnership with the Camden County Board of Commissioners and Rutgers-Camden Nursing School, is offering pediatric vaccinations at the The Camden County Health Hub, located on the Camden County College campus at 200 College Drive in Blackwood.
