MD Anderson at Cooper Expands Radiation Oncology Services with New State-of-the-Art Suite in Moorestown

(MOORESTOWN, NJ) — MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper has expanded its footprint in South Jersey with the opening of a new, state-of-the-art radiation oncology suite at the Cooper University Health Care Moorestown Campus. This marks the fifth MD Anderson at Cooper radiation oncology treatment location in the region, bringing advanced cancer care close to home for more patients.

Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the new suite features a high-precision radiation accelerator that delivers targeted treatment to tumors, including stereotactic radiosurgery for brain tumors, with exceptional accuracy. Advanced imaging and motion-tracking systems further enhance precision, ensuring patients receive effective radiation therapy tailored to their unique needs.

At the Moorestown Campus, patients now have access to comprehensive radiation treatment planning and therapy, delivered by a dedicated team of radiation oncologists, specialty-trained nurses, skilled radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and clinical researchers who collaborate to develop customized treatment plans.

Beyond radiation oncology, MD Anderson at Cooper’s services at the Cooper Moorestown Campus include medical, gynecologic, and surgical oncology, same-day surgery, interventional radiology, and a modern infusion suite with 28 private bays designed for comfort and privacy. Additionally, the campus offers essential supportive services, such as cancer genetic counseling and testing, access to clinical trials, patient navigation, social work, and nutrition counseling, ensuring patients receive comprehensive, holistic care.

The Cooper Moorestown Campus, which opened its first phase in late 2023, is a 166,000-square-foot, three-story outpatient facility at the Moorestown Mall. Once a vacant department store, it has been transformed into a state-of-the-art center offering a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. Designed for convenience and high-quality care, it serves as a key extension of Cooper University Health Care’s mission to provide exceptional health care in the community. In addition to cancer services, the Cooper Moorestown Campus offers patients more than 26 medical specialties, a range of diagnostic services, same-day surgery, nearly 100 exam rooms, concierge services, a café, and other patient amenities. The facility is accessible from a main entrance facing Route 38 and an interior entrance from inside the Moorestown Mall.
