Cooper University Health Care Nurse Named 2024 GI Professional of the Year Award by American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses

Jeanne M. Greer, RN, BSN, CGRN, director of operations for Cooper University Health Care’s Digestive Health Institute (DHI), was recently named 2024 GI Professional of the Year Award by American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology (GI) Nurses.

The American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses provides a certification and recertification program for registered nurses for gastroenterology and gastroenterology endoscopy that promotes their knowledge, skill, and competency to ensure quality patient care and outcomes.

“We are so proud of Jeanne and her accomplishment which recognizes her dedication and commitment to highest standards of GI nursing through leadership, collaboration among colleagues, and advocacy of patients.  Her diligence ultimately results in outstanding compassionate care for patients at Cooper’s Digestive Health Institute,” said Adam B. Elfant, MD, FACG, division head of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at Cooper’s DHI.

For more than 15 years, Greer, a resident of Moorestown, NJ, has served in her current role at Cooper. She has dedicated more than 30 years of her career to GI nursing.

With offices in Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Willingboro, Cherry Hill, and Camden, The Cooper Digestive Health Institute provides the latest diagnostic procedures and treatment options for patients with disorders of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, digestive tract problems, and related digestive issues. The Cooper Digestive Health Institute of Mount Laurel has been recognized by the American Society for Gastroenterology Endoscopy (ASGE) with an Endoscopic Unit Recognition Program (EURP) Certificate of Excellence Award.
