Benefits of Having a Preferred Network

Why is having a preferred network important to you?

The preferred network of skilled nursing facilities enables Cooper to set standardized protocols for the facilities to follow, includes cost saving benefits, and creates transparency between the facilities and you and your patients. The standardized protocols maximize productivity to make sure the facilities are providing the best quality of care to your patients. In addition, Cooper establishes a referral pattern with the facilities for cost saving benefits on behalf of your patients. Lastly, a well-established relationship improves communication and creates transparency between you and the facilities regarding your patients’ health needs.

Why is having a preferred network important for your patient?

Cooper’s preferred network is based on standards of care in quality, safety, and staffing. Patients and their loved ones get to choose a facility close to home, or the one offering specific services or amenities that are most important to them by having a network throughout southern New Jersey. The goal is for your patients to leave the facility healthy and happy. Cooper’s strategy is monitoring these facilities quality of care, delivery capabilities, and performance to make sure your patients receive the care they need.

How are we connecting the preferred network to your patients?

A new brochure will be given to any patient going to a skilled nursing facility to make sure they can make the most educated decision on the type of care they desire. The brochure will include the provider’s contact information, location, and features. Some features that are highlighted in the brochure include:
1. Specialist coverage
2. Pharmacy services
3. Therapy services
4. Amenities
5. Protocols
