In order to reduce the number of clicks when prescribing medications at time of discharge, the order class of NORMAL (e-prescribe) will be default selected on all discharge medication orders. This aligns with currently functionality in the ambulatory setting.
This change will be implemented on Tues, Oct 3rd.
If a medication is not able to be electronically prescribed (for example, controlled substances), the system will automatically default to print the prescription.
