On October 10th, we will begin the transition of the Possible Sepsis / Confirmed Sepsis Orders to a clinical pathway format. The new Possible Sepsis / Confirmed Sepsis Pathway will allow for more efficient ordering and better compliance with possible sepsis / confirmed sepsis orders. The pathway can be initiated from the ED or the Floors. The new pathway format allows you to easily see variances so that you can determine which measures have been met and which ones haven’t been met. The Possible Sepsis / Confirmed Sepsis best practice alert has also been updated to invoke the pathway instead of the orderset as we make this transition.
