This Friday, Feb. 28 from 12:00-1:30 p.m there will be a Story Slam at CMSRU!
Story slams are gaining popularity at medical schools all over the country. Participants share 5 minute stories on a theme — no power point slides, no learning objectives, just a powerful story about a moving experience. CMSRU’s event will feature 6 or 7 storytellers who will provide compelling personal stories about experiences that have impacted them professionally and/or personally, with a focus on professionalism and humanism in medicine. Mara Gordon, MD, director of the narrative medicine program in the Center or Humanism, is helping to organize the event.
