Patient Experience – Tip of the Month

Communicating with the Team:

  • Do you review the patient record and speak with staff to prepare for the visit?
  • Do you routinely huddle with your team?
  • Do you pick up the phone and call or email a colleague when appropriate?
  • In office: Do you check in with PSRs and clinical staff regularly?
  • In hospital: Do you check with providers, staff, and learners to make sure everyone is communicating the same thing to the patient?
