Congratulations to Diana Filipek, MSN, APN,  who was chosen as the winner of the 2017 MEDSURG Nursing First-Time Author Writer’s Award for her article entitled “Tranexamic Acid in Total Hip Arthroplasty: Management of Complications and Use.”  An announcement of her award, along with her photo, will appear in the upcoming issue of the journal.
