Take Five Minutes to Be a CPR Hero

National CPR and AED Awareness Week is June 1-7

June 1-7 each year is National CPR and AED Awareness Week, spotlighting how lives can be saved if more Americans know CPR and how to use an AED. Knowing Hands-Only CPR is more important than ever as the odds of cardiac arrests in a home setting are likely to increase while people continue to shelter in place during the pandemic. Did you know about 70 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes? If you are called on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love or know.

Be the difference for your parent, spouse, partner, child, neighbor or friend. What if it were them? One day this week, June 1-7, take five minutes … just five minutes to become a “CPR HERO.”  Access this link, scroll down to the video and take 90 seconds to watch a Hands-Only CPR training video. Learn the TWO STEPS to help save the life of someone you love or know, and avail yourself to the resources on the site.  Pass along the video and resources to family, friends and coworkers. #CPRsaveslives
