Celebrating Our Cooper Certified Nurses

Kathy Devine, DrNP, NEA-BC, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, together with our AVPs, are celebrating with you today on National Certified Nurses Day!

In celebration of Certified Nurses Day – March 19, 2021 – Cooper University Health Care honors the commitment, expertise, and achievements of our certified nurses.

Cooper’s more than 300 certified nurses are clinical experts in their specialty field dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to more than 1.6 million patients each year. To become certified, nurses undergo a formal application and testing process through nationally recognized credentialing centers, including the American Nurses Credentialing Center, to validate their knowledge, skills, and abilities in a defined role and specialty. They must achieve certification credentials through specialized education, experience in a specialty area, and completion of a rigorous qualifying exam.

Nursing certification requires life-long learning and on-going skill development to maintain. As part of their commitment to continued competency, certified nurses maintain their knowledge through specialized continuing education throughout their careers.

Thank you to Cooper’s certified nurses for providing high quality, compassionate care to our patients each day!
