Employee Appreciation Day

Dear Cooper Family,

Today is Employee Appreciation Day, a day to recognize the important contributions of the more than 5,000 dedicated individuals whose commitment and hard work has helped Cooper University Hospital become one of the region’s leading healthcare institutions.

These past few years have been filled with significant growth and change at Cooper. We have had tremendous success, and I am encouraged every day by the individual stories I hear about our employees going out of their way to make a difference in the lives of patients and fellow team members. Whether working in one of our business offices, outpatient centers, or on our Camden campus, Cooper employees have demonstrated time and time again that they truly care about each other, our patients and visitors and our organization.

One example is the flooding incident last week, when several departments of the main hospital were affected by water damage. Our employees went above and beyond to assure that every patients and visitors were well taken care of. Employees came to the hospital on their own time and volunteered to help with the clean up and lend a hand to those in need. It is moments like these that make me so proud to work for an organization like Cooper.

Thank you for the dedication you show to “every patient, every day.” I appreciate your continued support as we work to build a bigger and better healthcare system for the people of the Delaware Valley.

Congratulations to you all!

Sincerely,

John P. Sheridan, Jr.
President and CEO
