(Moorestown, NJ) – Mid Penn Bank has pledged $1 million to support breast cancer care and research through the Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Fund at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, in partnership with The Cooper Foundation. As part of this transformational pledge, the Bank recently contributed $50,000 of proceeds raised from its 2025 Mid Penn Bank Celebrity Golf Classic, presented during a special ceremony at Cooper’s Moorestown campus, in loving memory of Jess Quandel.
The Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Fund provides vital support for breast and gynecologic cancer programs at MD Anderson at Cooper — funding research, early detection, advanced treatments, and essential patient support services. This community-driven initiative ensures that women across South Jersey have access to exceptional cancer care, innovative therapies, and compassionate support close to home.
“This extraordinary commitment from Mid Penn Bank reflects the very best of what it means to be a community partner,” said Philip A. Norcross, Esq., chairman of The Cooper Foundation Board of Trustees. “Their generosity will have a lasting impact on women and families across our region and inspires others to join us in making a difference.”
“At Mid Penn Bank, we believe in investing in organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve,” said Rory Ritrievi, president and CEO of Mid Penn Bank. “Behind every cancer diagnosis is a person, a family, and a story. Our annual Mid Penn Bank Celebrity Golf Classic raises funds specifically for breast cancer charities and we are deeply proud to support MD Anderson at Cooper and the Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Fund as they lead innovation and bring hope and healing to women facing cancer across our region.”
Ron Jaworski, chairman of the Board of Trustees at Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional and former Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback, joined representatives from Mid Penn Bank for the presentation, along with his wife, Liz Jaworski, a member of The Cooper Foundation Board. Generosa Grana, MD, director of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, accepted the donation on behalf of Cooper.
“This gift from Mid Penn Bank is a powerful statement of compassion and commitment,” said Dr. Grana. “Support like this allows us to push the frontiers of cancer care, bringing new treatments, new technologies, and renewed hope to the women and families we serve every day.”
Since its inception, the Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Fund has raised millions of dollars to advance cutting-edge research and provide comprehensive, compassionate care for women diagnosed with breast and gynecologic cancers.
