Join Cooper Team Members at the HealthSportsTech 2022 Conference

You are invited to join the Cooper team at the HealthSportsTechnology 2022 (HST 2022) conference on Friday, September 16, 2022.

HST 2022, produced by EnableHealth, will explore the growing global convergence between health technology, elite sports, data, and innovation. The event will explore cutting-edge topics such as the critical role of clinical validation pathways for IT commercialization, the increasingly complex world of health care data security, emerging treatment and trends in pain management, the clinical side of e-sports and gaming, and the power and influence of sports marketing leveraging elite athlete entrepreneurs.

Jelani Jenkins, former NFL linebacker and Founder/CEO of Postseason; Micky Tripathi, National Coordinator for Health Information Technology; and Charles Aunger, Managing Director, AMA’s Health2047, will deliver keynote addresses and will be joined by other health and IT leaders, as well as elite athlete entrepreneurs from across the sports landscape. The PA eSports Coalition will contribute cutting-edge e-sports and gaming clinical/wellness programming.

Michael Kirchhoff, MD, Chief Innovation Officer at Cooper, will moderate the session “Pain Management … Fixing the Past, Creating the Future” with Cooper team members and NHL Philadelphia Flyer Chris “Bundy” Therien. Other sessions include:

  • Advances in Addiction Treatment: Kaitlan Baston, MD, Division Head of Addiction Medicine, Cooper University Health Care
  • Advances in Pharmacotherapies: Basant K Pradhan, MD, Founding Program Director of the Neuro-modulation, Psychedelics, and Mindfulness (NIP) Fellowship, Cooper University Health Care
  • Advances in Technology and Implantables: Michael Sabia, MD, Division Head of Pain Management, Cooper University Health Care

The event will be held at the Penn State Great Valley Conference Center, 30 E. Swedesford Road, Malvern, PA.  Free parking, breakfast, and lunch will be provided.  Microsoft will host the post-conference reception at their Microsoft Technology Center, across the street from the conference.

This program is approved for up to 4.75 CE hours for requirements of the HIMSS CPHIMSSM or the CAHIMSSM.
