International critical care and sepsis expert R. Phillip Dellinger, MD, FCCM, FCCP, Professor of Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, edited the just released comprehensive critical care textbook for medical professionals – Critical Care Medicine: Principles of Diagnosis and Management in the Adult, 5th edition, published by Elsevier. The textbook was edited in partnership with Joseph E. Parrillo, MD, Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University, and expands upon traditional intensive care unit practice to the many specialty multi-specialty physician and other health care providers who care for patients in the critical care setting. Dr. Dellinger also co-edited the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th edition of this textbook. The textbook has 78 topic-oriented chapters and more than 140 authors from around the world.

It features an in-depth self-assessment program with questions, answers, and rationale to enhance learning for the bedside health care provider.
