Cooper University Health Care’s Center for Innovation has received a $100,000 grant from the Foundation for Health Advancement (FHA) to develop a new medical device that will aid physicians performing cardiac catheterizations and related procedures for greater efficiency, ultimately leading to better patient care.

Cooper University Health Care and Inspira Health today announced the formation of Cooper and Inspira Neuroscience, another partnership between the two health systems. The formation of this partnership improves local access to a comprehensive range of advanced neuroscience care including surgical and nonsurgical services related to the brain, spinal cord, and central nervous system. Cooper University Health Care will host the first New Jersey Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Hackathon.  The goal of this event is to explore innovative ways to leverage health information technology to better engage at-risk populations, improve access to care, address issues of equity, and chronically poor health outcomes for underserved and marginalized populations at both the local and state level. As part of its Health Careers Initiative (CHCI) program, Cooper University Health Care, in cooperation with several community organizations, is now offering a new program for students interested in becoming emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

The Cooper EMT Training Program, developed in partnership with the Camden County Board of Commissioners, Camden County One Stop, Camden County College, Camden County Workforce Development Board, and Hopeworks, will provide low-cost, comprehensive training for an entry-level career in emergency medical services. (Egg Harbor Township, NJ) – In a move that will expand gastroenterology services in the region, Atlantic Gastroenterology Associates of Egg Harbor Township has joined the Digestive Health Institute of Cooper University Health Care. The practice will be renamed Cooper University Health Care, Gastroenterology at Fire Road.
