A Doctor’s Stories: Cooper University Health Care Doctor Reflects on Career in New Book
Following a serious illness, John McGeehan, MD, a primary care Internist at Cooper University Health Care and professor of clinical medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, set out to write a collection of short stories highlighting moments and insights from his more than 40 years in medicine as a means to aid in his recovery. The physical act of smiling has an impact on one’s mood as they do it. Regardless of how small that impact may be, any happiness we are able to generate for ourselves goes a long way as we continue to experience difficult situations. With so much tragedy surrounding us as the coronavirus pandemic rages on, happiness is few and far between and can sometimes feel impossible to achieve on your own. 
Cooper University Health Care in conjunction with the Camden County Freeholder Board, Camden County Health Department and the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers will open three new walk-up testing sites on Wednesday, December 9 in Camden City to provide additional testing capacity.  The three new sites will open in community schools throughout impacted zip codes in Camden City and will be easily accessible by foot, vehicle or public transportation.
